The main issue was the lack of attention to the documentation required for my application. I trusted the firm to verify that everything necessary had been submitted, but after months of waiting, my application was rejected because of what I believe was a basic missing requirement. As a result, I lost around seven months, incurred significant additional costs, and had to rearrange travel plans.
Communication was consistently poor. Emails frequently went unanswered for long periods, and several of my direct questions were ignored altogether. Instead of receiving clear legal advice and explanations, I often felt that my concerns were being dismissed. Even after the rejection, I repeatedly asked why the missing document had not been identified before submission and requested the legal basis for their position, but I never received a clear or convincing response.
To make matters worse, rather than acknowledging the issue, I was asked to pay additional fees to correct the situation through a new application or an administrative appeal.
My experience was one of poor communication, lack of attention to detail, and inadequate customer service. I would not use Balcells Group again, nor would I recommend them to anyone dealing with an important immigration application.
