IT Project Manager - Webhelp Barcelona

Description
The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing implementation projects related to the IT department. He/she must ensure that projects are implemented in a standardized way, completed on time, and within the specified budgets.

Main Responsibilities:
- Collect requirements and understand the context of the project.
- Define the stakeholders involved.
- Define and agree on the project scope, objectives, timelines, and budget.
- Complete a project charter to serve as an executive summary.
- Organize meetings to discuss project goals and progress.
- Create a project plan, reflecting objectives, with agreed milestone dates.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and IT team members to deliver tasks.
- Keep logs of, monitor, and report on any risks, issues and changes.
- Track project performance and schedule adherence.
- Maintain and report on agreed timelines and budget.

 

Responsibilities

Main Collaborators:
- With IT experts (Webhelp or external) to consult on possible solutions for new services, client software integrations, IT / Security improvements.
- With IT teams to coordinate and follow-up on ongoing tasks.
- With 3rd party solution providers to agree on scope, objectives, timelines and costs.
- With Operations to acquire project requirements, log and approve change requests, report status updates, perform user acceptance tests and provide support during go-live.
- With Client when additional technical information is required before/during implementation, and to support with issues during set-up/go-live.
- With IT PMO team members to align on methodology, risks, priorities, and support needed.
- With Sales to support them with pre-sales activities and awareness of IT bandwidth (to keep in mind for proposed go-live dates).
- With Operational Excellence to align on best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
- With Innovation Committee to focus on innovation / digital transformation solutions offered to Sales and Operations.

 

Requirements

Experience & Competencies:
- Understanding of project management fundamentals.
- Experience in project management role.
- Experience in IT, preferably in networking.
- Proficient in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.

Required Personality Traits:
- Politically astute with negotiation skills. You will be managing projects that involve a variety of stakeholders and will need to balance the needs of many people/teams with the successful delivery of a completed project. This will demand effective negotiation with all stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills. You will be the point person for the project, and all information will flow through you for approval and coordination. You will also need communication skills to produce presentations and reports.
- Dynamic project leader. You will need the ability to see the "big picture", both for your projects and the bigger IT team (and even bigger Webhelp team). Remember that you will be part of the bigger IT team, and even bigger Webhelp team. Revenue and customer satisfaction will always be at the top of our list.
- Problem solving and decision-making. Most projects are not without issues that can delay expected completion dates. You will need to make quick decisions that will allow work to progress. Strong problem-solving skills will allow you to have a structured approach to solving problems in order to achieve positive results.
- Strong organizational skills. To ensure smooth progress line with agreed goals, you will need to have strong organizational skills. While this includes the ability to multitask, it also includes prioritizing tasks, compartmentalizing projects, and documenting everything for easy access and future reference.
- Time management. Every project is subject to deadlines, which means there are numerous tasks that need to be accomplished in a short amount of time. You must be able to create a project timeline and maintain those deadlines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Inspire teamwork. Most projects are complex and require an entire team or multiple teams to work on various tasks. - Your passion and positive attitude will inspire others. You will need to build relationships and demonstrate that you are a leader that can be trusted.
- Manage stress with ease. You will be the front line of problems and concerns. Your ability to address a challenge with ease will show that you are reliable and in charge. Demonstrating the ability to calm the team in the face of adversity is one of the most important attributes of a project manager.
