Raising little ones abroad brings incredible growth — and unique challenges. When sleep becomes difficult, parents far from home often carry the weight alone: without family nearby, without familiar systems, and without trusted guidance.
At Holistic Baby Sleep, my mission is to empower parents with compassionate, neuroscience-informed support that honours both emotional wellbeing and healthy sleep biology.
My name is Edina, and I am a gentle baby & toddler sleep consultant, supporting families in Barcelona and worldwide.
With over 15 years of experience supporting families across the globe as a career nanny, then gentle baby sleep consultant I understand that parenting doesn’t come with a manual — especially when sleep is elusive, routines are unsettled, and emotions are running high. I also know the emotional load of navigating life in a new country: the loneliness that grows louder during long, sleepless nights, the ache of not having your mother, sister, or close friends nearby, and the quiet pressure to figure everything out alone.
Living abroad taught me something essential:

Support that doesn’t just offer techniques, but offers reassurance, clarity, and presence.
I support families from pregnancy through toddlerhood, offering prenatal sleep preparation, baby sleep support, and gentle toddler sleep guidance. Preparing for sleep during pregnancy is one of the most powerful gifts parents can give themselves. By understanding sleep biology early — how the nervous system develops, how babies regulate stress, and what truly supports healthy sleep — families begin parenthood with confidence rather than fear.
My approach focuses on nurturing emotional security as the foundation for sleep.
Sleep is not a behaviour to control. It is deeply connected to a child’s nervous system, attachment, sensory world, environment, and developmental stage.
When babies feel safe, seen, and supported, sleep naturally becomes more settled and restorative.
I do not use cry-it-out or one-size-fits-all methods. Instead, my work is grounded in attachment science, neuroscience, psychology, and mindfulness.
I am a qualified OCN Level 6 Holistic Sleep Coach (trained through Lyndsey Hookway) and continue to deepen my work through ongoing study in nurture neuroscience, including training with Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum and Dr. Rocío Zunini, ensuring my guidance reflects the latest research in infant brain development, emotional regulation, and relational safety.
Alongside practical sleep guidance, I support families with emotional and nervous-system regulation tools, mindfulness practices, and holistic approaches that help both parents and babies settle, release stress, and return to balance.
Through personalised sleep plans, I help families build healthy sleep habits in ways that feel realistic, respectful, and aligned with their values. This includes creating calm, supportive sleep environments — where light, sound, rhythm, and connection gently signal safety to a baby’s nervous system.
I also support parents’ emotional wellbeing, because calm, supported parents are one of the most powerful resources a baby has.
Together, we explore what is truly beneath sleep struggles — whether it’s overtiredness, sensory overload, separation sensitivity, developmental change, accumulated stress, or nervous-system overwhelm.
With clarity and compassionate guidance, families move forward with more confidence, rest, and ease.
My work is not about taking control away from parents.
It is about giving it back.
