Summertime in the Mediterranean can get hot and busy, here ar the best outdoor pools here in Barcelona to kick back and relax!

Piscina Municipal de Montjuic

This outdoor swimming pool offers two giant size pools, including an olympics size pool with diving boards. This location offers tapas and drinks as well for a reasonable price.

Their pools are also salt water which is helpful for those with allergies to chlorine. Their hours of operation are Monday- Thursday from 11:00 to 19:00 and Friday to Saturday and public holidays 11:00 to 20:30. The pools opened in 1929 and were refurbished in 1955 for the Mediterranean Games. The entry fee is 7 euros, and offers a wonderful view of Barcelona. This is a great way to do summer activities with family and friends! Piscina Municipal de Montjuic also hosted the diving events for the preliminaries for the 1992 Summer Olympics. CEM Parc de la Ciutadella

This outdoor public swimming pool is located on the edge of the Ciutadella park, This pool is complete with a rooftop and deck with sun lounge beds as well, perfect for the luxury feel for a low price. Adults are 16 euro and children are 7 euro, children under the age of 6 are free! This pool is easy to find in a great central area welcoming to all age groups. It is open from May 11th-September 30th welcoming tourists as well!

Llac de la Creueta de la Coll

A trip to the Creueta del Coll park will reward not only your body and mind but also your wallet. To swim in the pool – situated in a former quarry, complete with island, that is also surrounded by nature and featuring a sculpture by Chillida . It only costs little more than one euro from 6pm. There are parasols, a lawn area, hammocks for hire and even canoes available for bathers. This outdoor pool is great for a picnic and relaxing with family and friends, it is open to the public and should be put on your itinerary for your trip to Barcelona. It is located at Pg Mare de Déu del Coll, 77 Barcelona. It is open daily from 10:00 to sunset which is around 21:30 here in Barcelona. Water shoes are required.

Forum Bathing Area

If getting sandy and overwhelmed by the crowded beaches of Barcelona then Forum Bathing Area is for you. This has access to enjoy the Mediterranean sea without the hassle. It is 375m long and 30m wide. Water shoes are required due it being a natural “pool” and to prevent injury. They also offer a lifeguard and bathrooms! The Forum Bathing Area also offers services for the disabled, is it the perfect place for everyone.
